Another month, another meeting. This time the workshop took place at the Institute of Evolutionary Medicine at the University of Zürich in Switzerland, focusing on oxidative stress - a key factor in various non-communicable diseases such as chronic rhinosinusitis. Researchers from across Europe gathered to explore the role of NRF2 and its critical function in the homeostatic oxidative stress response and inflammation. Christina delivered a presentation on the opportunities and challenges of using bioinformatics and AI tools to analyze large datasets, highlighting how these approaches can advance our understanding of NRF2 in health and disease, as well as aid in identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The event fostered lively and productive discussions among all participants.
