The International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) Congress 2025 brought scientists from around the world to Vienna for a week filled with inspiring lectures, lively discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. With perfect late-summer weather and a vibrant atmosphere across the city, the congress was both scientifically rewarding and personally memorable.

For the Vienna Airway Lab, the meeting was especially exciting. Our postdoc Mo Zghaebi delivered an excellent talk that sparked stimulating discussions and drew strong interest from colleagues. In addition, our bioinformatician Christina Morgenstern celebrated a special success by winning an award in the Immunology Run — a fun and spirited event that brought the community together beyond the lecture halls.

Beyond the scientific program, the social events left a lasting impression. The Prater Dome party provided a perfect opportunity to connect with colleagues in a more relaxed setting and to celebrate the global immunology community.

We would like to sincerely thank the organizing committee for their outstanding work in creating such a well-rounded and memorable congress. IUIS 2025 highlighted not only the strength of immunological research worldwide but also the importance of international collaboration and exchange.

We return from the congress energized, inspired, and already looking forward to the next IUIS meeting!
