Vienna Airway Lab strongly represented at Austrian ENT Meeting

We are very proud of our team and its strong scientific presence at this year’s Austrian ENT Meeting. With multiple presentations and contributions to the scientific programme, the Vienna Airway Lab demonstrated the breadth and depth of our ongoing work in rhinology, airway research and chronic rhinosinusitis.
Our team presented current research spanning a broad range of clinical and translational topics.
Karina Berbalk presented data on changes in the need for concomitant medication in patients with CRSwNP receiving long-term dupilumab treatment.
Katharina Gangl chaired the Allergy session and provided an update on the specialisation in Allergology, highlighting current developments and perspectives in the field.Tina Bartosik presented research on the effects of long-term dupilumab treatment on allergies in patients with CRSwNP and contributed an update on the microbiome.
Christina Morgenstern presented research investigating rhinovirus-specific mucosal and systemic antibody responses across different chronic rhinosinusitis endotypes, while Linda Liu presented a qRT-PCR-based study investigating oxidative stress and molecular mechanisms in chronic rhinosinusitis.
Sven Schneider, Co-PI of the Vienna Airway Lab, focused on quality of life and patient needs in modern biologic therapy for CRSwNP, highlighting the importance of patient-centred outcomes in the evolving treatment landscape.
We are delighted to see our team contributing across such a diverse range of topics and bringing new insights to the field of rhinology. These contributions reflect the dedication, curiosity and collaborative spirit that characterise the Vienna Airway Lab.
